About us
Vajra Guru Spiritual Travels is a registered travel agency owned by Dr. Karma Wangchulk, who holds a Ph.D Degree from the University of Delhi in Buddhist Studies and has practiced the Nyingmapa and Kagyupa traditions of Vajrayana Buddhism for many years.
He was a Delhi University Gold Medalist in the M.A (Buddhist studies) program and was a monk for eight years. Prior to this agency’s establishment, Karma had worked for the National Library of Bhutan as the Assistant Director and researcher for 5 years.
Subsequently he worked for Amankora, a series of resort lodges operated by Amanresorts in the Kingdom of Bhutan, more than four years as a General Affairs Manager during which he had gained extensive experience in the hospitality Industry.
At present, Karma also works as the lead trainer of Buddhism, iconography etc. for cultural guides, under the Department of Tourism’s guide training programs.
