Cost: 1 person US $ 2200, US $ 4200 for 2 people and + 3 people US $ 1800 each.
Cost includes: Government royalty, all meals, tea and snacks, accommodations, transport, entrance
fees, guide service, mineral water while travelling in a road.
Cost does not include: Druk Air fares, visa fee, airport tax, drinks and other personal
bills.
Day 1: Arrival Paro, visit Kyichu Lhakhang (it is one of the 108 temples built by King Songtsen Gampo in
659 A.D), and Paro town. O/n Paro at an altitude of 2280m
Day 2: Morning hike to Takshang temple (one of the most sacred places in Bhutan due to its association
with Guru Rinpoche, who reputedly flew to Paro Takshang cliff in the form of Guru Dorji Drolo, mounted on
a flaming dakini-tigress in the 747 A.D., where he meditated and subdued evil spirits). This is a
lifetime opportunity to connect yourself to Guru Rinpoche – 25 minutes personal meditation time or to
enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this sacred site. Afternoon visit National Museum and Paro Dzong and
evening at leisure. O/n Paro at an altitude of 2280m
Day 3: Drives to Thimphu (capital) en-route stop visit Simtokha Dzong (oldest dzong) built in 1629.
Afternoon visit to National Institute of Traditional Medicine, School of Arts, National Library, Nunnery,
Changgngkha Lhakhang, and Sangay hill for the best view of Thimphu town and mini Zoo to see the Takin,
Bhutan’s national animal. O/n Thimphu at an altitude of 2320m
Day 4: Drive to Wangduephodrang via Punakha. Visit Punakha Dzong, where the secret relic ‘Rangjung
Kharsapani’, that Zhanbdrung brought with him from his monastery at Ralung in Tibet. Legion says that a
statue of ‘Rangjung Kharsapani’ (Avalokiteshvara) appeared miraculously from the vertebra of Tsangpa
Gyre, the founder of Drukpa Kagyu lineage of Mahayana Buddhism. 25 minutes for personal meditation in the
largest congregational Hall in Bhutan. Chimey Lhakhang the fertility temple of Lama Drukpa Kuenley the
Divine Madman (optional). Evening visit Rinchen Gang Village, one of the oldest clustered villages in the
country. O/n Wangdue at an altitude of 1350m.
Day 5: Morning drive to Trongsa and visit Trongsa Dzong (the biggest and the most impressive Dzong at an
altitude of 1900m) and in the afternoon drive to Bumthang. Bumthang is the most historical valley with
visible signs of the visit of the Great Buddhist saint Guru Rinpoche and Longchen Rabjampa. O/n Bumthang
at an altitude of 2600m to 4000m
Day 6: Morning visit to Jampa Lhakhang (another of the 108 temples built by King Songtsen Gampo), Kurjey
Lhakhang (in 8th century Guru Rinpoche came to Bumthang and meditated, leaving JEY (imprint) of his KU
(body) in the rock, hence the temple’s name is known as Kurjey) – 25 minutes for personal meditation. And
in the afternoon visit Tamshing Lhakhang [It is one of the most important Nyingma temples in the Kingdom.
It was built by Pema Lingpa in 1501 with the help of Khandroma (female celestial beings)], Namkha’i
Nyingpo Monastery, and Jakar Dzong. Evening at leisure or discussion on any topics of Buddhism in the
Jakar town temple if the group or individual would prefer (optional). O/n Bumthang.
Day 7: Bumthang Sightseeing with excursion to Tang village, Urgyenchoeling Museum, Nunnery and The
Burning Lake (this is a narrow gorge river which contains one of the great pilgrimage sites in Bhutan.
This is where Pema Lingpa, a saint from Bumthang found the treasure hidden by Guru Rinpoche and thus
became a “terton”, discoverer of religious treasure). Evening gift shopping and at leisure. O/n

Day 8: Morning drive to Gangtey glacial valley, the home of the rare endangered black-necked crane.
Afternoon visit Gangtey Monastery and enjoy the nature trail walk from the Monastery to the cranes
roosting place. O/n Gangte at an altitude of 3000m
Day 9: Drive to Thimphu. Afternoon shopping and leisure. At Dinnertime you will have an opportunity to
meet and discuss buddhism with an incarnated Rinpoche (teacher of buddhism). O/n Thimphu at an altitude
of 2320m
Day 10: Morning visit Dechencholing Monastic school, Bhutanese paper factory, Folk Heritage Museum.
Afternoon drive to Paro. In the evening at leisure and shopping. O/n Paro at an altitude of 2280m
