Dear Tashi,
Karma was an outstanding guide and teacher. His knowledge of Buddhism and illuminating manner of communicating it allowed me to gain a greater understanding of Bhutanese spirituality in nine days than I could have done in nine years by myself. Congratulation for having him on your team. |

Dear Dr. Karma
My experience of Bhutan has been enhanced by your knowledge of the country & its people and the traditions of practices of Buddhism. Thank you for sharing some of your own philosophy and practice. I was particularly taken by your relationship with chosen Bodhisattva and how you hold it in your heart at night but allow it to rest just above your head during the day. I will take back treasure the wonderful memories of Bhutan and my experience here. Thank you for your thoughtfulness & kindness during my stay.

Hi Dr. Karma,
It is good to hear that everything is well with you.
I've purchased three copies of your book "The Spiritual Lineage of Dzogchen Masters," and hope you will be willing to autograph each of these for myself, Ruth, and the library of Dorje Ling bodhi center in Atlanta.
If so please let me know to what address to send the books & I will provide the return shipping slip for it as well.
Hope your new book on iconography is coming along well, and that you are enjoying being officially a ngagpa now.
I'm not at the level where it would be accurate to say that I am practicing Dzogchen but I'm working on stabilizing zhine, and trying to keep my mindstream, speech, and actions pure and integrated with a non-deceptive view, with suggestions of some attainment in these directions.
Someday I am hoping to find an authentic teacher of Dzogchen. I am not aware of any Nyingma Dzogchen lama in the Southeast US proximity, although there is a Bon Dzogchen teacher in Virginia.
Have told quite a few people about you and your travel company & hope this will bear fruit someday (with the depressed economy most people currently are reigning in their discretionary spending). Maybe the economic problems will start to lift in time for next years spring travel season.
The tour of Bhutan and the time we had the opportunity to spend with you last year, was very special for Ruth and myself.
Hoping to have the opportunity to visit Bhutan and see you again in future.
Take care,
Ted

After an exhaustive search of tour operators in Bhutan, I decided to go with Vajraguru Spiritual travels. From the moment I began corresponding with Dr. Karma, I knew I made the right choice due to his own scholarly accomplishments and background.
I was looking for a cultural adventure, a ten day trip that included elements of trekking, pilgrimage, meditation, and learning about Bhutanese cultural history while taking it more easy towards the end of the trip. Dr. Karma exceeded all expectations, always ready to accommodate my last minute suggestions, extremely prepared and well-connected and widely experienced for all scenarios, or pre-empting my own ideas with solutions of his own.
With Vajraguru, it is possible to organize any type of trip to Bhutan, but especially for those interested in cultural history and Tibetan Buddhism such as myself. It is also possible to obtain permission to visit sacred places off the beaten track, which we were so aptly able to do on my recent and unforgettable 10 day travels and hikes through Western and Central Bhutan.
Dr. Karma was most informative, easy to get along with, flexible and always willing to accommodate last minute changes and additions to the schedule, and most of all, a brilliant scholar/guide who makes an ideal companion and friend for the discerning and demanding traveller. I learned so much about Tibetan Buddhism in Bhutan, and had some real adventures during our frequent hikes. This was a trip of a lifetime and a week after coming back, I'm still sad to have left. I very much look forward to visiting Bhutan again under the auspices of Vajraguru with Dr. Karma and his loyal and serviceable driver Sangye

Dear Karma, Thanks to you, my expectations for a trip of a lifetime were exceeded beyond measure. Your teachings on the history and culture of Bhutan were thorough and effortless. More important, your discussions on the meaning of Buddhism and meditation will always be with me. You were more than a guide, but a friend and teacher. Thanks to you for making our adventure easy, fun, and meaningful. I give you my highest recommendation. |

Greetings, Karma. I'm missing you and Bhutan terribly. We all had safe and easy flights back, didn't get caught in political turmoil in Bangkok, and now we are here and reentering our old lives -- but changed by you and your beautiful and wonderful country. Thank you so much for all you did -- all that work -- for us to make our trip magical. What an amazing adventure.
Best to you. Hope your business thrives and provides you with time for your meditation as well. And that your daughter thrives as well.

Hello Dr. Karma,
I have passed on your email to my lovely sisters - thank you.
We all returned home safely and once again are now telling all our
family and friends about Beautiful Bhutan and the wonderful times
we had under your guidance. Chrissie and I think that it was your
prayers that got us up a few mountains (or trails) so thank you so
much for your encouragement.
I am so happy you had a wonderful sleep and happy dreams on the
Tempur mattress and pillow, and hope that you can use them in the
years to come.
We were all so thrilled to see you on our arrival in Bhutan and you
once again made our visit so very special.
Please remember my offer of accommodation at the Gold Coast - for
you and your daughter. You will always be very welcome.
Keep up your wonderful work.
My very best wishes,
Jan

Dear Dr. Karma:
I wanted to thank you from my heart for the excellent trip you have pulled together for me. I am truly grateful. I will make sure to send your name out the way the prayer flags send out their blessings, ... to the four corners of the planet.
Maybe it is possible that we will meet again if we get to Bhutan in early June. Thank you for all that you have done in this visit. You project a very favorable image of Bhutan... you radiate solid human qualities and could be Bhutan's poster child.
Thank you so much for all that you do. The one who is earning millions of merits is you!
Many warm wishes of holiness and spiritual and material success.

Dear Karma,
Thank you very much for such an amazing journey through Bhutan. Everyone
really enjoyed it (as I'm sure you noticed)! You were a wonderful guide, spiritual leader and good sport with all of the giggles. Kathy and I enjoyed Siem Reap and were able to review a lot of the concepts you taught us in going through the ruins and the museum at Angkor Wat.
I'm sure when I return home and talk to the people who had expressed interest last summer, I will be sending on some referrals. I would love to bring another group through… who knows!
Thank you very much. All the best to you and Nyima.
Sincerely,
Katie

Dear Karma,
I want to thank you for a wonderful week. You taught me a lot, told great stories, and exposed me to many ideas and practices that have changed how I see the world. I didn’t expect to learn so much, or at times, laugh so hard. It was really a pleasure and a privilege to have spent the week with you. Thank you for your generosity and open heart.
I gave your card to the 3 Americans as you asked. They told me how much they enjoyed seeing the cranes, and how handy the hot water bottles were in keeping warm at night. They laughed so hard when I asked where they got hot water bottles! They couldn’t believe I didn’t have one. . I also gave your information to a Sally Patterson, an American I met today in Delhi who plans to visit Bhutan next year (I told her June was best).
Please let me know when you come to the US. It would be a pleasure to return the hospitality. I hope our paths cross again.
Thank you again, Karma. And Tashi Delek.
Susan
