Dear Tashi, Karma was an outstanding guide and teacher. His knowledge of Buddhism and illuminating manner of communicating it allowed me to gain a greater understanding of Bhutanese spirituality in nine days than I could have done in nine years by myself. Congratulation for having him on your team.

Dear Dr. Karma
My experience of Bhutan has been enhanced by your knowledge of the country & its people and the traditions of practices of Buddhism. Thank you for sharing some of your own philosophy and practice. I was particularly taken by your relationship with chosen Bodhisattva and how you hold it in your heart at night but allow it to rest just above your head during the day. I will take back treasure the wonderful memories of Bhutan and my experience here. Thank you for your thoughtfulness & kindness during my stay.

A lotus blossom for you

Dear Dr. Karma: I gratefully appreciate your dedicated and humorous guide during my stay in Bhutan. If it weren\'t you, my trip would be less reminiscent because you always tried to make me happy. And it\'s my pleasure to introduce you and your company to anyone who hopes for magnificent time in the Land of the Thunder Dragon! Last but not least, my interest in Buddhism found the further path thanks to your religious attitude. I\'d really appreciate it if you could occasionally contact me. Hi Dr. Karma, It is good to hear that everything is well with you. I've purchased three copies of your book "The Spiritual Lineage of Dzogchen Masters," and hope you will be willing to autograph each of these for myself, Ruth, and the library of Dorje Ling bodhi center in Atlanta. If so please let me know to what address to send the books & I will provide the return shipping slip for it as well. Hope your new book on iconography is coming along well, and that you are enjoying being officially a ngagpa now. I'm not at the level where it would be accurate to say that I am practicing Dzogchen but I'm working on stabilizing zhine, and trying to keep my mindstream, speech, and actions pure and integrated with a non-deceptive view, with suggestions of some attainment in these directions. Someday I am hoping to find an authentic teacher of Dzogchen. I am not aware of any Nyingma Dzogchen lama in the Southeast US proximity, although there is a Bon Dzogchen teacher in Virginia. Have told quite a few people about you and your travel company & hope this will bear fruit someday (with the depressed economy most people currently are reigning in their discretionary spending). Maybe the economic problems will start to lift in time for next years spring travel season. The tour of Bhutan and the time we had the opportunity to spend with you last year, was very special for Ruth and myself. Hoping to have the opportunity to visit Bhutan and see you again in future. Take care, Ted

After an exhaustive search of tour operators in Bhutan, I decided to go with Vajraguru Spiritual travels. From the moment I began corresponding with Dr. Karma, I knew I made the right choice due to his own scholarly accomplishments and background.

I was looking for a cultural adventure, a ten day trip that included elements of trekking, pilgrimage, meditation, and learning about Bhutanese cultural history while taking it more easy towards the end of the trip. Dr. Karma exceeded all expectations, always ready to accommodate my last minute suggestions, extremely prepared and well-connected and widely experienced for all scenarios, or pre-empting my own ideas with solutions of his own.

With Vajraguru, it is possible to organize any type of trip to Bhutan, but especially for those interested in cultural history and Tibetan Buddhism such as myself. It is also possible to obtain permission to visit sacred places off the beaten track, which we were so aptly able to do on my recent and unforgettable 10 day travels and hikes through Western and Central Bhutan.

Dr. Karma was most informative, easy to get along with, flexible and always willing to accommodate last minute changes and additions to the schedule, and most of all, a brilliant scholar/guide who makes an ideal companion and friend for the discerning and demanding traveller. I learned so much about Tibetan Buddhism in Bhutan, and had some real adventures during our frequent hikes. This was a trip of a lifetime and a week after coming back, I'm still sad to have left. I very much look forward to visiting Bhutan again under the auspices of Vajraguru with Dr. Karma and his loyal and serviceable driver Sangye

Dear Karma, Thanks to you, my expectations for a trip of a lifetime were exceeded beyond measure. Your teachings on the history and culture of Bhutan were thorough and effortless. More important, your discussions on the meaning of Buddhism and meditation will always be with me. You were more than a guide, but a friend and teacher. Thanks to you for making our adventure easy, fun, and meaningful. I give you my highest recommendation.

Greetings, Karma. I'm missing you and Bhutan terribly. We all had safe and easy flights back, didn't get caught in political turmoil in Bangkok, and now we are here and reentering our old lives -- but changed by you and your beautiful and wonderful country. Thank you so much for all you did -- all that work -- for us to make our trip magical. What an amazing adventure. Best to you. Hope your business thrives and provides you with time for your meditation as well. And that your daughter thrives as well.

Hello Dr. Karma, I have passed on your email to my lovely sisters - thank you. We all returned home safely and once again are now telling all our family and friends about Beautiful Bhutan and the wonderful times we had under your guidance. Chrissie and I think that it was your prayers that got us up a few mountains (or trails) so thank you so much for your encouragement. I am so happy you had a wonderful sleep and happy dreams on the Tempur mattress and pillow, and hope that you can use them in the years to come. We were all so thrilled to see you on our arrival in Bhutan and you once again made our visit so very special. Please remember my offer of accommodation at the Gold Coast - for you and your daughter. You will always be very welcome. Keep up your wonderful work. My very best wishes, Jan

Dear Dr. Karma: I wanted to thank you from my heart for the excellent trip you have pulled together for me. I am truly grateful. I will make sure to send your name out the way the prayer flags send out their blessings, ... to the four corners of the planet. Maybe it is possible that we will meet again if we get to Bhutan in early June. Thank you for all that you have done in this visit. You project a very favorable image of Bhutan... you radiate solid human qualities and could be Bhutan's poster child. Thank you so much for all that you do. The one who is earning millions of merits is you! Many warm wishes of holiness and spiritual and material success.

Dear Karma, Thank you very much for such an amazing journey through Bhutan. Everyone really enjoyed it (as I'm sure you noticed)! You were a wonderful guide, spiritual leader and good sport with all of the giggles. Kathy and I enjoyed Siem Reap and were able to review a lot of the concepts you taught us in going through the ruins and the museum at Angkor Wat. I'm sure when I return home and talk to the people who had expressed interest last summer, I will be sending on some referrals. I would love to bring another group through… who knows! Thank you very much. All the best to you and Nyima. Sincerely, Katie

Hi All June and I would like to thank everyone in the group for the wonderful time we had in Bhutan and of course special thanks to Dr Karma from whom we have benefitted in terms of Buddhist knowledge and history of Bhutan.. it warms our hearts to know that all of you have enjoyed the trip tremendously. It is through affinity that we get together and I hope in future we may be able to repeat such wonderful experience together. My apology for this long overdue email. When I reached Singapore, the first thing I did the next day was to look for my doctor. Unfortunately, being Labour Day his Clinic was closed. I saw him, the following day, collected some ointment and I am on road to recovery. Thank you for your concern. A gentle remember to those who have not forwarded me the pictures in soft copy (JPEG format/CD). Thank you. Best regards June & George Tan

Hello Karma, Are you recovering from American ladies traveling group? I did not receive your message, but saw it as soon as Alice responded. I for one can never thank you enough for all you did for us and making our Bhutanese experience a memorable one that will be a part of us forever. People wish to know what is the best experience you had but there is not one that stands out any more than any other and I find it is some of the little experiences, like being blessed in the rain and watching rice being popped that stand out for me. But then again there are so many memorable times it is hard to pick any best! You were the best guide we could have ever had and I will always be indebted to you for chanting me up Tiger's Nest! It is with renewed spirit that I continue to "remove obstacles" and continue the path toward enlightenment and to pray for no more, no less than 88 years! Namaste. I bow to you, Linn

Dear Karma, we all seem to have re-adjusted to life in the USA, but feel a pull toward Bhutan in our hearts from here on in! What an amazing journey that was, and so much of the good energy was due to your amazing skills as a guide and the kind person you are. I love my photos of you with Songtsen, they show what a good parent you must be, and how you're able to connect with humans, at every level. You may not have seen the last of us, but for now, please know how much we all appreciate your intelligence, your humor, and your loving kindness that you were so generous with! Blessings, Sarah McKusick

Dear Dr Karma, My Uncle Robert has expressed beautifully in his earlier email, how we all feel and are touched by the wonderful and enriching experience we had in Bhutan, all thanks to you. We couldn't agree more. You have made it truely an unforgettable trip for us all. My Principal has mentioned in our internal newsletter that I had gone on a trip to Bhutan. One of my Australian teacher has already approached me when she came in to my branch for a meeting yesterday to asked about the trip. She had been wanting to go for a long time. I photocopied the brochure you gave us to her but noticed that it turned out very dark because of the background colour. Hence, when it is convenient for you, perhaps you may like to email a copy of your brochure ( preferably with white background ) so that I can print them out for distribution to any one interested. Some of the parents of my students at my branch have also been calling to asked about my trip, the least I could do to return your hospitality and kindness is to help you promote your company : I have mentioned to this particular teacher Ms Denise Purdey that as she has already 3 people , perhaps she could get 1 more to join her so that she could enjoy some savings as a group. She will probably write in to you when she could agree and finalise the dates with her family. 2 New Zealander teachers from my branch would like to join me if I were to organise a trip there again. Not likely this year but maybe next September if the school holiday in Singapore coincide with our Malaysian branch holiday to allow another New Zealand couple to join us. They would all otherwise be referred to liase with you directly as it is never easy to get everyone's schedule's right . ( I also need to start saving again...Bhutan is not a cheap destination ! ) Hope to see you and your family in Singapore one day soon. Wishing you all the very best. Regards, Molly Tan

Dear Dr Karma, We 'Old' arrived home safely but tired late last night. It was indeed an enjoyable and most enriching experience for all of us, particularly for me. I met two exceptional individuals. One claims to be a 'Realist and Independent'. To me he is incredibly unusual to say the least. The other is inspirational in every sense of the word - a true Buddhist who practises what he preaches. Dr. Karma, you are this exceptional person and I am extremely happy and honoured to have met you and be your friend. Your footsteps will be difficult to follow but it'll be an inspiration to just take one step at a time to follow you. This I will surely do. We are indeed blessed with good karma to be in this tour with you as our guide. Your vast knowledge of Bhutan's history and believe in Buddhism made it very educational and spiritually uplifting. Memories of our experiences in Bhutan have been very enriching and will last for a long long time. Thank you for sharing your country's vast history and rich heritage with us. We will be pleased to share what little history Singapore has to offer and will be delighted to show you around should you travel this way, hopefully very soon. Our best wishes to you and your family, especially your daughter whom we have learnt so much about even though we have not met her. The stories you told about her reveal how much you love her. Dear Dr. Karma, I would like to thank you very much for your perfect organization and the realization of my unforgettable travel to your beautiful country. Everything has been very well arranged, and I am very glad to have visited Bhutan through your cooperation. Also, Mr.Kinley was very kindly and cooperative; his many historical tales were very interesting and I have learnt a lot. Bema, the driver, was likewise kindly and polite. So, my travel has been a very nice opportunity to know your unique country and its very friendly people. I think, the hotel choices were also very suitable so that I can congratulate myself!.. The food and the restarurants were impeccable. Most interesting to me were the many monasteries, temples and the chanting ceremonies of the monks, including the introductional procession of the Ura festival. In short, I came back with many impressions and unforgettable memories, and thank you again for all of these. In the future, I hope I can make another visit, maybe to East Bhutan. In this case, I would of course contact you. In the attachment, I am sending a nice memory photo. Have my best wishes and gratitude. With my best regards,

Dear Karma, I wanted to just thank you again for all you did to make our trip to Bhutan absolutely wonderful and unforgettable. I know you couldn't have planned all the little things that made it so special - like seeing the 4th king in the Thimpu Dzong, or being able to attend the tsechu in the Bumthang Valley, or the unforgettable views of the Himalaya. or watching the 5th king's wedding on national TV, or the fantastic weather, but the itinerary you planned was exactly what we wanted, and it was very special for us. For me to visit the stupas of Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche, and Dilgo Khyentse RInpoche, and espeically to be able to meditate at the door of Guru Rinpoche's meditation cave at Tiger's Nest were unparalleled and unexpected. The written itinerary provided a lot of background that useful to us, and Kinley took advantage of every opportunity to add to our pleasure and knowledge, for example, by taking us to an immunization session in Thimpu, or adding on a view of Jomolhari. The Owl Trek was perfect, and so were all the hotels, with the exception of the one in Thimpu. Kinley was an exemplary guide, hard working, patient, lots of humor, and lots of knowledge shared with us. He worked very hard to answer all of our questions even when they must have seemed very naive. And Dorje was a talented driver, and always ready with a smile or a joke. I especially appreciate the efforts to assure a diet I could cope with, and also your call earlier this week to wish me a happy birthday! It will be a long time before we have a vacation as wonderful as this one was, and we will not hesitate to recommend you in the future to friends who want to visit Bhutan. Very best regards, Julie

Hello Karma...I would like to thank you for your kindness during our recent trip to your amazingly beautiful country. You were so kind to us and your knowledge a continuous revelation. Thank you for sharing your stories, the history of your incredible country and your own personal life stories. I enjoyed every minute spent in your company. I am so sorry if our own problems affected you in any way. I have so many happy memories...and will send some photographs when I get organized. The climb to the Tigers Nest was indeed memorable and the dancing of the monks was especially emotional, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will hopefully return one day to see you all again.
